Service Description
Instructor: Ruth Gipe Discover the richness and versatility of pastel in Explorations in Pastel, a 4-week workshop designed for artists of all skill levels who want to experiment, grow, and develop confidence with this vibrant medium. From soft, subtle blends to bold, expressive marks, this course invites you to explore the full range of what pastels can offer. Throughout the workshop, students will be introduced to essential techniques including layering, blending, mark-making, and color harmony, while working on a variety of subject matter such as landscapes, florals, and still life. Each week focuses on a different approach, allowing artists to experiment with both realism and more expressive, modern styles. This class emphasizes creative exploration and skill-building, encouraging students to discover their own artistic voice while learning how to control and manipulate pastel for beautiful results.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Period: Participants are entitled to cancel their enrollment in the Class by providing written notice to V.A.A.S. at least 30 days prior to the Class’s start date without incurring any cancellation fee. Cancellation Fees: Cancellations made after the specified period will be subject to a cancellation fee of $50 (initial reservation fee) Course/Class Rescheduling: Participants may request to reschedule their enrollment to a future session by providing written notice to V.A.A.S. at least 14 days prior to the Class’s start date. Rescheduling is subject to availability.
